2 Minky or not 2 Minky?

Bookmark and Share

As I’ve mentioned before, Sprout Shell Minky Blanky is coming soon! They’re just the right size to use in the car seat, and also use as a lovey. I mean, what kind of Sprout Shell product would it be if it wasn’t multi-functional, right?

Here’s the question for you:

Would you prefer, minky fabric on both sides; One side in a super cute pattern and the other side in a coordinating solid.

OR

Solid minky fabric on one side, and one of our Sprout Shell cottons on the other. This would allow you to coordinate your blanky with your infant carrier cover.

These are just examples…there will be lots of fabric choices.

We definitely have our ideas…but want to know what you think…since your opinion is the one we really care about.

I like the look of minky, but I worry about how breathable the fabric would be so I would go with cotton. Have you looked at studies to do with SIDS and whether this would be a problem?

I would go for the Minky and Cotton as it is better for summer and means it can be used year round :)

It’s a blanket like you would use any other, so it’s not meant to be near or ont the baby’s face. The breathability is why we use cotton for our carrier covers though.

I like the minky/cotton because it’s a 2for1 almost. You could have either side out that you want.

I vote Minky/cotton… but for one better you could add a satin outer rim. 2 out of three of my boys have/had blankies and the satin outer rim was a must have! Beautiful fabrics btw!

I prefer sproutshell/minky,I love it when baby products look like they’re matched and well chosen. Also sometimes the cotton is cooler on bubba’s skin.

Kristen, thanks for your reply. I wasn’t meaning to be a downer or criticize your product at all. I am actually really taken by your covers – I think they would be great for keeping the baby warm, keeping out light, and keeping out well-meaning people who may be germ carriers. For some reason random strangers always thought it was fine to touch my baby or at least breathe right over them. And I told my husband that we should get one and he was the one who asked about whether air flow would be restricted. I was just curious to know the answer.
