It’s Official–Summer is here!

I love summer! It feels like the time of year that is open to so many possibilities.

It’s vacation time. Time to be outdoors–whether at the beach, water parks, biking, hiking or just sitting in your own back yard.

Being pregnant this summer isn’t going to be a picnic, but I’m looking forward to it anyway. I’ll just have to remember the basics:

1. Drink lots of water

2. Apply lots of sunscreen–especially to my other little guy

3. Seek the shade

4. Wear loose clothing

For all of you new moms out there, keeping your little one protected is a priority. My guy came just before summer, so he was too little for sunscreen, and I had to be careful to keep him in the shade. There are a lot of options these days–loose long sleeved shirts and pants, sun hats, baby sun glasses, and of course the Sprout Shell. If you’re using your carrier, our infant carrier cover is a good bet. It won’t blow away like a blanket, and you can see in to check on baby, and can act as a larger canopy.

Whatever you use, have fun, stay safe and enjoy your time outside!

Such a great tips! I live in Florida…so it’s very important to do all of those. Thanks!
